Got A Boo Boo......??

OMG, can you say cute? Another little stamp that tugged at my heart strings. BooBoo Bear is simply the cutest {EVER}! I could not resist this one at all.... pick this one up here

So what do you think? How cute is she {and him}? It really is a simple card but still so adorable. This is an A2 card from Gina K Kraft card stock. Unfortunately I do not know who the supplier is of the patterned paper so if anyone recognizes it don't be afraid to let me know, I like to give credit where credit is due. I used a doily in behind the framed image to give a little texture to the card. The Copic markers I used for this particular image are E000, E00, E11, R20, E51, E53, E55, R39, R46, NO, N1, N3, RV10, RV11, E41, E42, E43, E74, E77 and E79. The "Feel Better" sentiment is from ScrappyMoms. I added 2 red brads for a pop of colour. Faux stitching was added with a Uniball Signa white gel pen.

Remember the great sale! If you use the code {I love The Paper Nest} in the notes section at The Paper Nest, you can receive 20% off your entire order. This is good until March 31st. So stock up now while you have the chance.

My Little Brother Easel Card

My Little Brother Easel Card

has so many cute stamps I can never
 decide witch one to do.
Now for the Stamp and Card
is My Little Brother I colored it with copics.
The paper I used was Debbie Mumm 12x12
 premium prints for Jo-ann Crafts

The sentiment I made up on my computer and
printed it on my Kodak printer using
Dik font.

I always wanted to make an easel card so
I thought I would give it a try, I will make many
more it was a lot easier than I thought.

An up close view of the coloring I'm
still learning, but with copics I think there is
always someone with a new technique.
So have fun and explore when you do your coloring's.
I tried new paper to color on too, its
 Cryogen metallic iridescent white paper
I like it not sure if I love it,
I will keep trying it out to see how much I like it.
I do love the glitter in it, but I don't like that its not as white
as the other paper I use but you cant really
see the difference once its colored I guess.

Avery with Heart Box

This is my first post here on the blog and I am thrilled to be part of the design team here on The Paper Nest Dolls. I love to work with all of the great designs and I hope you'll enjoy seeing the finished cards just as much as I enjoy making them. For more information about what I do and who I am you can visit and follow my personal blog over at http://lillgumman.blogspot.com

For this post I chose to work with a gorgeous image called Avery with Heart Box. It is just perfect for a card to a loved one. You can get your own copy of the image on the Paper Nest Dolls Etsy Shop.

I printed the image onto some white cardstock and painted it with copic markers. Then I did my best to cut it out and colored the edges with a black marker to cover up any imperfections from cutting. Painting the edges in black is really a good idea and it makes the image look more finished.

I made the card thinking I would have a tall card with the opening to the right and therefor I put my background paper that way. Eventually I realized it would look much better if I turned the card to the side. Unfortunately the hearts on the background paper was not turned the right way anymore, but I guess I'll just have to accept that. :)

When I had adhered the image to the finished card I used Glossy Accent to her eyes to give them some shine. I also used red and pink Stickles to the heart, you can't leave out the glitter right? ;)

I hope you enjoyed the card I made and be sure to visit this blog again to see more cards from the other talented girls on the team.

Friends Who Can Handle All Weather..... :)

Hey there everyone this is Nikki for the Paper Nest Dolls..... I am so excited to take part in this little adventure. This will be my {very} first post as part of the Paper Dolls design team. I was lucky enough to be surprised with one of the cutest digital stamps ever called All Weather Friends. So I have been working feverishly trying to get it ready for today's post and here it is.......

I {heart} Gina K Kraft card stock, so of course this 5.5"X5.5" card back was made out of that. I actually picked out the paper first for this card and corresponded my colouring with it. The patterned paper I picked out was MME Lime Twist "Happy Go Lucky" and Stampin Up Designer paper. I also added some Designer brads from Stampin Up to tie in the purple. To add some dimension to the card, I made the water 3D by adding Glossy accents......

         I used Copics markers to ink these little ones up. Skin was done in E000, E00, E11 and R20. Hair is done in E50, E51, E53, E55, E13, E15, E17 and E18. Clothes are done in YG03, YG23, YG25, RV21, RV23, V17, V25, BG49 and BG57. Water is done with BG01, BG02 and BG05.
Umbrella was inked with V17, V25, E74, E77, BG49 and BG57. I also had some polka dots using my Uniball Signa white gel pen. What do you think?

PS...... I have a little special for you..... :). If you go to The Paper Nest and use the code "I love the Paper Nest" in the notes section you will receive 20% off your order. This deal will end March 31, 2013 so hurry up and get your stamps......

Feathered Friends!

One of the fun things about using digital stamps is the ability you have to crop, enlarge, shrink, or highlight areas of your image.  Here is used the Owen's Treehouse digi but cropped out a detail that I wanted to focus on...The Owl!

By playing with your digis on the computer,
you can create all sorts of new views of the image!

Other supplies used:
Sentiment from Pink by Design
Glue Dots ©
Lovebug Creations Rumple ribbon
stickles, punch, button

Happy Sunday everyone!  Today is my first post as DT.  First I would like to mention that we have a bunch of amazing talented ladies on the DT and I look forward to seeing each of their creations.  I am also excited to making new acquaintances and getting to know you all.

Today's card is using the image "Turning Three".  Isn't she adorable?  She is colored with Promarkers.  The papers are from Basic Grey - Konnichiwa 6x6.  I used these papers to paper pierce the dress and balloons.  I used quite a bit of die cuts on this card.  Die-namics small scallop flowers to create my flowers.  The leaves were done using the die cut from Stampin Up.  The sentiment was used by Spellbinders (circle and scallop circle).  And last I used the Tim Holtz distresser.  TFL and have a wonderful day.

P.S. Right now you can get this image as well as many others for 20% off.  You have until the end of March so be sure to grab these images ASAP.  Be sure to enter "i love to color" to be able to get 20% off.

I made this card very simple along with a bookmark also very simple, I designed it to give to the little boy we all know who loves his dog. This is a smaller card than I normally do with a ice cream cone bookmark.
The paper I used is summer days by echo park paper and the birthday wishes stack by DCWV paper sentiment I made on my computer. I colored them with my copics hair E50, YR27, E11, E13, R24, R27, R29 R68 skin E00, E00, R02 shirt YG01, YG03, YG23, dog and ice cream cone E50, E40, E41, E43, E44, E47, E53, W1,W7, N1, YR04, YR00. The Paper Nest Dolls DT reveal!

Happy Valentines Day! Today we have a very special blog post - we're revealing the Paper Dolls. Please help us welcome these ten talented ladies to the team. They all wrote a little something about themselves, and in the next 6 months, you will be getting to know them a lot better through their amazing work - we hope they all inspire you! Here they are, in no particular order (Click on each girl's name to check out their blog!!):

Ashley
Hi! My name is Ashley and I'm a twenty-something avid paper crafter/scrapper! I live in Illinois and am currently studying to become an elementary school teacher and working part-time at a local library. I enjoy all types of paper crafting but would consider myself a card maker. I love using my Cricut on my projects and working with digital stamps, of course. I'm excited to be a Paper Doll and am so grateful for the opportunity to be on this wonderful design team!

Robin
Hello!! My name is Robin Jones and I am addicted. I can’t stay away from paper, ribbon, digital images, embellishments, ink, glue, scissors and Copic markers. I can’t drive by a scrapbook or craft store, they just seem to beckon me. I have been married 20 years and we have 3 wonderful teenagers (2 boys and 1 girl) that I absolutely adore. I live in Palm Desert, California which is in the desert but I am really a beach girl at heart. I am thrilled and excited to be a Paper Doll!!

Dawn
There are two great things about being crafty on the web: Sharing Ideas and Building Friendships. I am looking forward to both of them while I am on The Paper Nest Dolls design team! I hope you will often check in on my blog, Sunnyside Up, to see what new Paper Nest Dolls image I am sharing with you...along with a variety of other craftiness! Along the way, you'll see peeks of my three kids and the things that we say, do, and sometimes...eat. (Yum!) I'm blessed to be a stay at home mom so that my life is filled up with volunteer hours, creativity, and best of all... family.

Olga
My name is Olga. I scrapbook for two years. I love making cards (who doesn't!), altering projects and creating a layouts! I am "extremely computer girl" - I design websites and banners but also I adore to design printables, badges, and different kinds of digital scrapbooking. Here in Ukraine I have my website where I share my experience with other ladies. I love to laugh and I'm sure that you should be optimistic in any situation that happened!

Tina
My name is Tina Guigui. I am a graphic artist/designer. I started scrapbooking in Sept.2008. I was immediately hooked. In 2009 I started card making and that’s when my love of stamps started. I love the feel of products in my hands. For a graphic artist who spends 99% of the time on a computer this was a welcome distraction. I have been published in both paper and online magazine such as Canadian Scrapbooker, Scrapbook Magazine, Scrapbook News and Reviews, and more.

I am excited to be on the design team and look forward to sharing Christine’s super adorable images with you. Thank you for reading a little about me and if you would like to know more please visit my blog. http://cyberbumz1967.blogspot.com/

Lydia
My name is Lydia. I live in North Wales, Great Britain with my fiance Will (getting married in May - yikes!!!) and our little ones Archie 3 and Matilda (Tilly) 1.
For as long as I can remember I have always been crafting in some way, shape or form. As a little girl my Aunty used to call me 'Sticky Fingers' as I used to love gluing things- mostly really tiny pieces of paper that I never tidied up... ooooppps!

I love lots of different crafts but my passion is scrapbooking- I love the fact that when I'm gone my babies will be able to look back on everything I've created for them and remember. There are times when I look back on some of my old books now and think 'my gosh.... I'd forgotten about that' so I'm sooooo glad I started this fabulous hobby as I don't want to forget these precious moments and sometimes my brain needs a kick start to remember- maybe its just too full ?!?! I just love creating and involving my babies is fun. My little boy loves it too, his fave is stamping and I'm starting to get Tilly at the mo ... she loves the BigShot.

I have recently really gotten into card making at the moment and may just turn out to be an other passion- well a gal can't have too many can she?!?!

Nikki
Hi there, my name is Nikki and I am 40 something paediatric nurse who is a craft addict and who loves being creative. My addiction has resulted in copious amounts of paper and embellishments but all the more to be creative with. I pretty much dabble in anything but my passion for greeting cards has literally over taken my spare time. I am very happy and honoured to be a part of this lovely little group of ladies and look forward to working with everyone.

Kelly
Hi everyone my name is Kelly Jo. I am walkelmol on youtube. Wal kel mol derives from Walt ~ Kelly ~ Molly ( the 3 members of my family). I will be married to my husband for 13 years in July and I have a daughter, Molly. I've been creating art ever since I was little, my dad is a painter so it was just birthed in me to create. I have crafted for as long as I remember, however I started scrapbooking when my daughter was born. It has grown into an amazing hobby and lifestyle for me. I am very excited, honored and blessed to start this adventure here with Paper Dolls!

Erika
My name is Erika and I live in a small village in the north of Sweden. I live here with my fiancé and all of our animals. We have a small farm with sheep, chickens, ducks and various other animals.

I work as a graphic designer and photographer and I do a lot of work from home. Working from home gives me the great advantage of being able to craft more and create whatever I feel like. Besides scrapbooking and card making I love to art journal and create with the wool I get from my sheep (spinning, felting etc.). When it comes to crafting I have a pretty varied yet simple style and I love to make CAS cards and layouts. I do not have the patience to sit around for several hours or even days and create. When I start I want to be finished within a maximum of two hours. I am really excited to be part of this great team and I hope I can inspire others and give them lots of new ideas.

Loriann

I am a stay at home mom to 3 very busy and active kids, Savannah (15), Noah (13), & Parker (5). I grew up and has stayed in Southern Califorina area where I have been very active in my kids school, Norco JAFF, cheer, volleyball, school sports and music lessons. I love to sew, bake, spend time at the river, go boating, workout but my real love is in crafts and Nascar. I am always busy in my craft room learning new ways to use copic markers, my cricut and other crafty things to create new and exciting cards and gifts for those I love.

And me, Ilene...the DT Coordinator for this group of talented artists...how did I get so lucky?!

I've been scrapbooking for more than 8 years, and about a year ago, I discovered the wonderful world of Copics and stamps...and fell in love. I love Christine's stamps - somehow they all remind me of either my son and daughter, since each one is so full of personality. I also love to make layouts and mini albums, and have been lucky enough to design for many amazing companies. Creating art is a huge part of my life, and I couldn't live without it.

Last, but certainly not least, I wanted to introduce you all to Christine! She is the amazingly talented creator of the Paper Dolls. All of her stamps are based on her kids and each one captures their personality perfectly...not to mention they are the sweetest stamps ever!

Hello! My name is Christine and I am the Artist/Designer of The Paper Nest Dolls. I also own a scrapbook store in Fort Myers, Florida called The Paper Nest. I live here with my husband and children. My hobbies are drawing, scrapbooking, stamping and photography. I also love to read and travel. This is my first design team, so I am thrilled about the whole experience. I love my team and I am looking forward to working with this very talented bunch of ladies . I am passionate about my work... I hope that comes through in my stamps. Creating this stamp line has been a true labor of love. I get the inspiration for my stamps from my young children......Avery (5) Ellie (4) Emma (19 months) and Owen (10 weeks) and believe me, they keep me on my toes !
I hope you will love my stamps as much I do .
